The Nightlight was a special being of the Golden Age. The Nightlights were a secretive brotherhood about which almost nothing was known.

History

Nightlights are created from starlight, the laughs of ten thousand children, and a lock of hair from both a king and a queen of the Lunanoff family. In the history of the universe there has been only seven other nightlights with the Guardians' friend, Nightlight, being the eighth and last of them. Nightlights were to become stars when the prince or princess they were created to protect grow up or no longer in need of protection from bad dreams. They are to never sleep or dream for they were to be awake and fight nightmares. They were also to never kiss or be kissed by a mortal, or they will be forever changed. The seven nightlights who fulfilled their oath and turned into stars, create a constellation known as the Seven Stars of the Nightlights and they are arranged to look like a single face.
