Jamie, hat? We don't want Jack Frost nipping at your nose.

—Jamie's mother, to Jamie

Mrs. Bennett is the single working mother of Jamie Bennett and Sophie Bennett.

Appearance

Mrs. Bennett has brown hair and hazel eyes. Her hair is done in a bun. She wears glasses and her outfit consist of a checkered dress shirt and blue jeans.

Personality

Mrs. Bennett is a caring and joyful mother toward her son, Jamie and daughter, Sophie.

Being a grown-up, she doesn't really believe in the Guardians, calling Jack Frost just a figure of speech (unknowingly to his offense).

Rise of the Guardians

Mrs. Bennett appears when Jamie and his friends decided to go sledding and Jamie called her because Sophie fell again. She asked Sophie if she was okay, before telling Jamie to wear a hat if he doesn't want Jack Frost nipping at his nose. Jamie askes her who Jack Frost is and she says he's no one, just an expression.

She later appears listening to Jamie's sledding story with Sophie before telling them that it was time for bed.

She can be heard asking if that was Sophie when Jack drop her off and also she asked Jamie who he was talking to, before she laughed when Jamie told her: "Jack Frost".

Trivia

  • Her son, Jamie Bennett, has a special connection with Jack Frost as he resembles somewhat Jack Frost's sister. It is possible that she is a descendant from Jack's little sister. When Peter Ramsey, the director of ROTG, was asked about this, he answered: "Who knows…! It could be possible… One of my regrets is that we didn’t have more screen time in the movie to flesh things out a bit more. Is there a bigger connection between Jamie and Jack? Yeah, that could be a definite possibility, that there’s some kind of lineage connection like that. It’s one of those movie mysteries."[1]
  • “Jamie and his single working mother don’t have much money, so he often can’t afford all the toys that he wants, but he’s resourceful and imaginative enough to make his own. His hand-made clay ninja sculptures and homemade posters are a reflection of his indomitable spirit, which is powerful enough to energize the Guardians in their battle against darkness.” — Ramin Zahed (The Art of Dreamworks Rise of the Guardians).
  • Mrs. Bennett and Jack Frost's mother are both voiced by Emily Nordwind.
